The heads of government, Pakistan first and the most-asked names next. In most of the countries exams cover, the prime minister — not the president — runs the government, which is exactly why papers test this list so hard.

Frequently asked questions
Who is the current prime minister of Pakistan?
Shehbaz Sharif. Pakistan's complete office-holder list — cabinet, parliament, judiciary, chiefs and provinces — is on the Who is Who Pakistan page.
Why are a premier and a chancellor listed here?
Different countries name the same job differently: China's head of government is the Premier, Germany's is the Chancellor. Exams use the real title, so this page groups them by the job, not the label.
What about caretaker prime ministers?
They are listed with the word "caretaker" and the reason in the office title itself — for example Israel's prime minister, caretaker since the 27 October 2026 election — so you never learn a temporary holder as the settled one.
