About this paper

The FPSC Assistant Director (FIA) past paper from 2000 (Model Paper 37) contains 99 solved MCQs covering English, Everyday Science, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, with verified answers and a factual explanation for every question. The book prints 100 items on book pages 152-157, but Q40 (a truck-speed item) is omitted: 360 km in 6 hours is 60 km/h, which none of its options offers, and the printed key leaves it blank — so it is dropped and never inferred.

Questions

Paper practice FAQs

How many questions are in the FPSC Assistant Director (FIA) paper 2000? +

99 questions are published, each with a verified answer and a factual explanation. The book prints 100 items, but Q40 is dropped because no option gives the correct speed (60 km/h) and the printed answer key is blank for it.

Which subjects does it cover? +

English fill-in-the-blanks, narration and vocabulary, Mathematics, Everyday Science, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies and Pakistan Affairs, including the 1905 partition of Bengal, the Simla Deputation, the Muslim League and the Montagu-Chelmsford reforms.

Are the answers verified? +

Yes. Every answer was reconciled three ways: the book's printed answer key, the book's own material, and the standard fact. Six key entries were corrected (the "no use" gerund, the accepted/rejected ratio, the mirror-image distance twice, the Rs 200 distribution, and dyarchy), two blank keys were computed from the stems, one defective item was dropped, and the remaining caveats, including best-of-options items and print misprints, are recorded in the paper's internal flags.

Which other exams does this paper help with? +

The English, mathematics, science, general knowledge and Pakistan Affairs content is common to all one-paper exams, so it also helps PPSC, NTS, CSS MPT and other federal and provincial aspirants.
